Lifestyle
Skit greatly enjoys the hustle and bustle of the airport. Although she still wants to learn to fly, she has accepted that she can't do it yet. Instead, she turns to helping out, taking up the job of air traffic controller. In this way, Skit provides a great service by keeping all Silvers safe and out of each others' ways on takeoff and landing. Her ability to stay awake for long stretches of time, as well as her keen organizational skills, make her uniquely suited to the job. However, she still returns home nightly to her caretaker, with whom she shares a special bond.
At home, the hyper Skit likes nothing better than to leap and scamper around the room, leading her caretaker on a spirited game of tag. Often, Skit will take the game up to the rafters and ceilings of the home, chittering with happiness when her caretaker follows.
While at the airport, she still observes the Silvers gliding and since she has let go of the occasional frustration she felt as a Squig, she is able to absorb so much more of how gliding is achieved. She also gains a greater insight into how to effectively solve problems and answer questions.
Skit will periodically attempt to glide. The skin between her hind and front paws is growing in, but still weak. Instead of gliding, Skit often winds up simply coasting from branch to branch through Treetops, enjoying her closeness with Esmelda. For all her hyperactivity, Skit is quite a peaceful creature inside.
