Visual Description
A little baby seahorse.
Lifestyle
The details of Ippi's hatching are often a mystery even to her caretaker. As an egg, she was notoriously hard to keep an eye on, darting into anything and everything in the water, or even the water's edge. As Ippi, she now has agility and speed on her side and goes wherever her curiosity leads her -- many caretakers don't even realize their Ippi has hatched until they find a tiny seahorse prodding at their nose, eager to reacquaint herself before she scoots off again.
Though Ippi wanders freely, she never goes too far, and a clever caretaker quickly realizes that bringing strange objects into the water will attract Ippi's attention and call her back. Anything will do, be they elaborate remote-controlled boats or paper ones; Ippi is fascinated by them all. Even simple buttons will keep Ippi entertained, especially when they refuse to sink -- after Ippi spends some time trying to tug them down, caretakers often find her floating by quite merrily atop them, her tail wound over the side. Then she falls back into the water and is off again.
As time passes, Ippi starts to return to her caretaker of her own volition, looking forward to the shiny new things they bring and the new places they can visit together. This is when she evolves into Deni.
