Visual Description
A young fawn wound in thin vines.
Lifestyle
Given a Hartley egg's vines, it's very unwise to keep the egg indoors. Those who try it quickly learn why: a Hartley egg's vines grow and spread everywhere, overrunning any area where they rest. While it may be convenient to keep the egg nearby, most people don't want their bedroom, or kitchen, or even greenhouse, to become a tangled nest of vines, so most Hartley eggs are raised outside. Depending on where they're put though, they sometime seem unsettled, and gravitate towards more peaceful locations. Only in such a location will a Harley egg hatch into Hitra.
Hitra is a small, shy fawn. She needs help to stand, but that doesn't prevent her from somehow disappearing into the nest of vines when she doesn't want to be found. Afterward, she'll typically be exactly where she was first left, and blink guilelessly up at her caretaker if questioned about how or why she disappeared.
Though Hitra remains shy, she grows familiar enough with her caretaker to accept any help walking and can sometimes be seen stumbling along, only following her caretaker so far before she plops down again, not wanting to go any further. Hitra's habits are unusual, but caretakers indulge her, confident the reasons behind them will be later revealed.
