The Story of Blue Bear
Nobilsed: 5th April
Exalted: 12th April
Blue Bear is the first Nanook I ever found. He is extra special, as Nanook is the first creature made from one of my fanfic creatures. I wrote up the storys of several creatures and put them into the UC Wiki. The staff liked it so much they wanted to turn him REAL.
So one March 14th, Nanook was released as a new creature. Whispers edited my story to fit the required length and made some ADORABLE training descriptions. The art is done by Alwerien (she has only made a few creatures, so that makes him extra special). I love the touches of the earring and the glasses in the final stage. Plus he is just SO DARN FLUFFY.

Anywho Blue Bear is the 3rd nursery Creature. Where Skits is the supervisor and Nine is the entertainer, BB is the educator. All the young creatures in the Wild flock to him for fluffy, warm cuddles and story time.
When not telling stories, BB can be found in his corner of the Book Room reading some reference book or another (though sometimes he is caught reading a period romance novel).
BB's personal vocation is the study of the envronment, in particular focusing on the impacts of building and resource sustainability. A lot of the innovation in his caretaker's landscapes come from BB figuring out a better way to harvest resources and ways to link the various areas by roads that will cause the least amount of impact to the surrounding areas and habitats.

When it came to his name, Blue Bear thought long and hard about what he wanted to be called. He wanted a name that refeced who he was. When he came up with Blue Bear his caretaker was a little taken aback at something so simple and literal. But BB was content. He is blue.....

Lifestyle
Part scholar and part sage, Blue Bear is a very wise creature. A lifetime of studying has made him a master of his discipline. Quite a few books in the reference section of the library in New Atlantis are written by Nanooks and no matter what time of day, there are at least three Nanooks in the library reading books and doing research.
Nanooks often hold conventions to discuss their research and findings with each other. The sharing of knowledge is important to Nanooks as it not only increases their own education, but can lead to breakthroughs when fresh eyes and different viewpoints consider a topic. Sprouting from this, Nanooks with similar or converging points of study often form collectives to further investigate and examine their field of study.
Blue Bear is still besieged by youngsters wanting a cuddle and he often lets them ride on his back as he goes for his daily walks. On these trips, Blue Bear points out things such as trees, puddles and flowers and teaches the young creatures about what those things are, where they came from and what they do. These educational excursions are always fun, but eventually the warmth of Blue Bear's fur, the rocking motion of his stride and his deep voice lulls the youngsters into slumber. Blue Bear then turns around for home, displaying great tenderness and care for his sleeping passengers.
