Visual Description
An adolescent panda contemplating life.
Lifestyle
After getting excited by everything she saw as a Ling, Xion is now surprisingly calm. She prefers to spend her time quietly contemplating life while nibbling on some green shoots. And although she emits a deep rumbling sound when she's happy, she has given up speech for the most part. She also spends a great deal of time sleeping, though Xion herself claims it's a deeper, more relaxed, form of contemplation.
One of the few character traits Xion kept from her younger stage is a fascination for her markings. She can still spend hours checking them, carefully tracing them her claws and grooming those she likes best. A caretaker who is particularly close with their Xion sometimes sees the markings move from the corner of their eye. If they ask Xion about this, she smiles and compliments them on their power of perception, but offers no further explanation.
Despite Xion's silence on the matter, several caretakers believe they know why the markings move. The markings, they say, represent Xion's life and are therefore forever changing. By studying them, Xion gets to know herself and the options open to her. They go on to say that this also explains Xion’s calm nature: as a Ling, she studied the world and was amazed by it, while as a Xion, she studies herself and finds acceptance in her own nature. When asked if this is indeed the case, Xion simply smiles and, with obvious affection, once again compliments her caretaker on their power of perception.
