What's with the different colored creatures?
Some creatures are differently shaded or colored, even though they have the same base. This is because they have a speciality. Creatures with specialities can be difficult to find. There are two types of specialities: Nobles and Exalted. Each type of speciality has its own rules associated with it.
Finding Creatures with Specialities
Once you have completely evolved a creature family, you have the opportunity to find Noble and Exalted creatures of that family. If you have not studied the entire family, you will not be able to get a special one. In other words, if you want to get a Noble Orbit or an Exalted Orbit, you must first have the regular type of Orbit. Otherwise the Noble and Exalted version (in this case, an Orbit egg) will not appear for you. Starter creatures cannot be Noble or Exalted.
Noble Specialities
Noble creatures are more powerful than regular creatures. Their abilities will increase approximately 8% to 12% higher than usual. They will also appear as a different color, distinguishing them from the rest of their family. You have a 1 in 100 chance of an egg being a Noble if you have already completely studied that family, but you are limited to finding one Noble for every 24 hours.
Exalted Specialities
Exalted creatures are much more powerful - even more powerful than Noble creatures. Exalted creatures will have their abilities increased by approximately 15% to 18% higher than normal. They will also appear as a different color, distinguishing them from the rest of their family. There is approximately a 1 in 350 chance of an egg being Exalted if you have completely studied that family, but you are limited to finding an Exalted once every 100 hours.
Creatures that are able to have Specialities
All creatures that can be found in the wilderness have a chance of being Noble or Exalted. Unique creatures (creatures purchased in shops) cannot gain them without additional help. Exotic and Legendary creatures are already considered to be Noble or Exalted.
